It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd International Symposium on Green Technologies and Applications (ISGTA 2027), to be held July 7-9, 2027 in Casablanca, Morocco, as a hybrid event. After the 2025 edition in Portalegre, Portugal, the symposium returns to the city where it was held in 2023.

ISGTA is a high-quality international forum for academic and industrial exchange among experts and scholars in green technologies, renewable energy, green smart cities, and green computing and networking.

The symposium focuses on the challenge of building sustainable, liveable cities for their citizens. That goal depends on three essentials: reducing energy consumption, improving the quality of citizens’ daily lives, and making citizens active, proactive participants in green smart city solutions.

ISGTA 2027 will bring together state-of-the-art contributions from scientists and practitioners working in machine intelligence and green technologies for future smart cities. We hope it will be a valuable reference for students, researchers, engineers and professionals in the field, and for anyone looking to understand its many facets and latest advances.

We are honored to host ISGTA 2027 in Casablanca, and we look forward to your contributions to the continued success of the symposium.

Why Casablanca

Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city and economic capital, an Atlantic port with a long industrial history and a growing public transport network. It also sits at the center of a country committed to the energy transition: Morocco aims for renewables to make up 52% of its installed electricity capacity by 2030, and it is home to the Noor Ouarzazate solar complex, one of the largest of its kind.

For a symposium on green technologies and liveable cities, it is a setting where the research questions are close at hand.
